Our People

Our professionals are drawn from industries as diverse as oil and gas project development, fast moving consumer goods, commodities marketing and trading, and life sciences. We are united in our passion for entrepreneurship and our desire to create value together with the people we work with.

Ed Lehmann

Ed is an experienced business developer and trader with proven success in multinational corporations and as an angel investor.

Ed has spent the majority of his career in the energy sector. At Shell, Ed brought projects to financial close in natural gas, power and LNG. Later, he spent five years on the commercial optimisation of Shell’s European production and refining assets and trading crude oil. At BG, he built up the European physical and financial optimisation and trading business. Ed is an investor with the London Business Angels network (now Newable), building up a portfolio of investments over the last ten years. Ed has an MBA from IESE Business School.

Bea Marques

Bea has built up extensive expertise in marketing, communications and project management both at UK Trade and Investment and at a leading automotive engineering firm.

Bea was born in Portugal, raised in the UK and has worked in Sao Paulo, Barcelona and London, shaping her into a creative and innovative professional. Bea holds a first class degree in International Relations and a Master’s in Marketing Management. Her passion for communication translates into helping organisations navigate through growth and create meaningful relationships with their customers. Bea is an optimist with the attitude that a problem is in-fact a solution waiting to be found.

James Browne

James has held a variety of senior commercial and marketing roles globally across FTSE 100 companies covering consumer goods, durables and finance sectors. He is currently leading businesses in BT’s venture arm.

James is an advocate of building businesses by committing to the success and well-being of people. He holds a first-class degree and Bilingual MBA. In his personal time, James is a keen sportsperson and former GB athlete who still enjoys competing, despite getting progressively slower.

We are privileged to work with a network of experts in their various fields who bring their experience and enthusiasm to the different projects we undertake. For example, in the area of genomics (and life sciences more generally), we work with experts from the Cambridge genomics cluster, including through the Cambridge Enterprise, the University of Cambridge’s Commercialisation Office.
